Stylish Ways to wear soft Luxurious Scarves

Scarves are the most versatile accessory and for me the most important. I will make a video on how to tie the knots in the near future.

The right scarf, with the perfect weave and a luxe silky texture, can transform any ensemble–adding a bit of vintage-inspired sophistication and detail. All Legacy fashion houses have issued their signature prints in the form of scarves for decades, creating a timeless accessory in the process. But how are all the cool people wearing scarves in 2022? Ahead, learn seven scarf-styling tips to keep the look fresh and modern throughout every season. Then, shop our favorites :)

 1. French knot or French twist

Take one loose end piece and pull it over and under the scarf loop. Take the second end piece and go under and over the same.

2. The Shawl style

The simplest way to wear scarves or stoles! Just drape the luxurious fabric around your shoulders and let it hang down on each side in front. You are done.

3. The Cowl

Place your scarf around your neck so that one end is much shorter than the other. Wrap the long end around your neck twice, then tuck in the loose ends. If using a scarf with fringe, adjust it so that a bit of fringe is hanging down in front.

4. False Knot

Wrap the scarf behind your neck. Take one end and wrap it around your hand. Pull it through to make a loose knot. Take the other end and pull it through the side knot, going under the knot loop and then over.

5. Double Loop

Loop the scarf twice around your neck. Take one end over and down through the neck loops and tie the ends together

6. The knotted shawl

A slightly more advanced version of the wrap. Put the scarf around your shoulders like a shawl and make a half knot in the back with the ends. Pull the ends tight and up high on your back. Pull the scarf fabric down to cover the ends.

7. The tie loop (formal)

Wrap the scarf around your neck, so the ends are even in the front. Cross the left side over the right, then bring it behind and through the hole around your neck. Take the end on the right, pull it toward the left and push it upward through the loop you just created. Adjust the knot until it sits like a loose men’s tie. Excellent style to wear with coats and blazers.

8. The Braid

Fold the scarf in half and place it around your neck. Take the loose ends of the scarf and pull them through the loop, making sure not to pull it too tight. Now, twist the loop and pull the loose ends through again. Continue twisting the loop with one hand and pulling the ends through until you run out of scarf.

9. Knotted Necklace

Take a lightweight scarf (silk is great for this one!) and place it around the back of your neck. Tie a knot on one side followed by the other. Pick up the loose ends and tie them together. Turn the scarf around so the ends are at that back, and the knots are in the front.

10. The simple neck Knot

Take a scarf and wrap it around your neck twice, so that the ends come together at one shoulder. Tie the ends together once and toss one end over your back while the other stays towards the front.

11. The Double Bandana

Fold a long scarf in half lengthwise. Grab the diagonal ends and knot them together. Put it over your neck, then twist it and loop again.

12. Hidden Knot

Loop a long scarf once around your neck. Make a half knot with the long ends, up near your neck. Pull the fabric of the neck loop down over the half knot.

13. The Turtleneck

Place the scarf evenly around your neck. Loop one end of the scarf around your neck, then repeat with the other end (the ends should be hanging down slightly at your chest). Tuck the loose ends up inside the scarf.

14. The Tie-loop

This knot underneath a blazer or jacket looks attractive because it resembles a men’s tie, but with a feminine touch. Wrap the scarf around your neck, so the ends are even in the front. Cross the left side over the right, then bring it behind and through the hole around your neck. Take the end on the right, pull it toward the left and push it upward through the loop you just created. Adjust the knot until it sits like a loose men’s tie.

15. Twist Turtleneck

This one is exactly like the turtleneck (see #13), except for this one, you twist the scarf before wrapping it around your neck. You can wrap it tightly to look like a turtleneck or leave it loose for a more relaxed look. 

16. Mix and match 2 sided twist

Put two of your favorite scarves back to back. Loop once around your neck and turn the fabric so that you see both sides.

17. Single side Bow

Wrap the scarf around your neck and cross one side over the other. Using your right hand, gather a bit of scarf into a loop. Wrap the left side around the loop and down through the hole, almost like tying your shoelaces. Tighten the knot and turn the scarf, so the bow sits at your shoulder.

18. The Rolling Loop

Wrap a scarf once around your neck. Take each scarf end up and over the neck loop.

19. The double Loop

Loop the scarf twice around your neck. Take one end over and down through the neck loops and tie the ends together.

20. Twisted Necklace

Bring the scarf around your neck. Tie once at the front and bring the ends up and over your shoulders. Tie a knot where they meet at the back.

21. The Headband or furoshiki headband

Fold scarf half to create a triangle. From the bottom, roll up until you reach the top point of the triangle. Start by centering the scarf at the base of your head, bring up and knot. Wrap the ends back under your head and secure with a double knot. Add bobbie pins to make it extra secure.

22. Casual scarf or the furoshiki scarf

This is a fun option when you want to add a little something extra to your outfit. It's super simple and makes a great addition to a casual or dressy look.

23. Loose Wrap Scarf with pins

Fold furoshiki or scarf in half to make a triangle. Huddle or Scrunch together a bit and tie somewhat loosely around your neck. Secure with a double knot and add some vantage pins for extra detail.

24. The Bandeau Top

Lay your scarf down flat, fold it along the diagonal axis, fold two of its corners down to the middle, then fold in half.

25. The Bag Accent

Twist your scarf around the handle of your bag, then tie the excess ends into a bow or knot for an elevated update to your favorite bag.

26. The Wrist Wrap

Fold your scarf into a triangle, twist it over into a thin silhouette, then wrap it around your wrist, and secure it with a knot.

27. The Classic Bandana

Put your hair into a low bun or let it hang down at the nape of your neck, then fold your scarf on the diagonal to create a triangle. Tie the ends into a knot at the back of your head.

28. The Girl Scout

Simply wrap your scarf around your neck, let it drape down your chest, and loosely tie the leftover strands into a delicate knot at the bottom.

29. The Choker

Fold your scarf into a triangle then roll it up. Wrap it around your neck, crossing the ends behind, and tie a gentle knot beneath the chin. Adjust the scarf to the left or right and leave the long strands to hang.

30. Once / Twice Round

Both the Once and Twice Around offers a great balance between polished and relaxed styles. Looking superb with anything from a winter coat to a tee and cardigan, these two ways to wear a scarf can quickly and easily up the fashionability of any outfit. Although the style can be prone to unraveling, it is effective at keeping your neck warm during cold weather. If one end starts to become longer than the other, don’t stress. This style looks just as great messy as it does neat and tidy. Just remember to choose a medium length and weight scarf for the Once Around and a longer and slightly thinner style for the Twice Around.

 

31. Parisian/French/European Knot Scarf

Despite having different names, the Parisian, French, and European knots are all the same when it comes to tying a scarf. Perfect for a night out, this easy knot is adept at providing essential warmth while looking stylish. Appropriately masculine and polished, the Parisian knot is ideal for turning casual outfits into well put together looks. To pull off this look, however, you will need a seriously long scarf as a medium length just won’t cut it. Also, be sure to choose a scarf that isn’t too thick or bulky. As you will be doubling up the fabric, a thick scarf can quickly make your look appear disproportionate when wrapped around your neck.
